Salamanca to Get $12M in Senaca Revenue-Sharing Case

Salamanca is getting $12 million from that Seneca arbitration ruling
It’s retroactive revenue sharing payments as a result of the Seneca Nation arbitration decision where New York won a challenge to the Senecas’ claim that revenue-sharing payments to the state should be over. The Seneca Nation could still appeal the arbitration decision in federal court in Buffalo. More than $50 million a year in state revenue sharing payments from the casinos were going to 16 Western New York counties.

A spring groundbreaking is planned on a 90-room Hampton Inn and Suites,that’ll give 24 people full-time jobs and 11 part-time workers. A spring 2018 groundbreaking was originally set on the 8-acre site, which was part of a 68-acre parcel acquired in 2013 from ExxonMobil.
