Two Saved From Stranded Vehicle in Van Campen Creek

It was a frightening beginning to the new year for two people who were rescued from a vehicle stranded in a flooded Van Campen creek. Police say the couple was trying to cross the creek at a spot that usually isn’t a problem, but the high water caught the vehicle and took it about 100 to 300 feet downstream before it became stuck.
The couple climbed to the roof of the vehicle and awaited rescue.
they were taken to to Olean General Hospital to be checked out.
