An Ex-Olean alderman who was questioned about a couple of fires last year says he was the target of those two suspicious Christmas fires. The garage at Andrew Searles’ home on Greene Street was a total loss and the vacant home that Searles owns just down the block was damaged Tuesday by fire.
Searles told the Olean Times Herald he feels the fires were targeted attacks against him. He and his girlfriend’s cars were vandalized with spray paint that same morning. He also said his home surveillance video captured a suspect damaging the cars and walking around his home.
