Voters Return Gillibrand, Reed and Cuomo in Midterm Election

Voters had their say in one of the largest turnouts for a mid term election in recent history.
In New York, voters returned Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand to the U.S. Senate. She defeated Republican challenger Chele (shell) Farley to win re-election to a second full term and in the us house seat for district 23 voters returned republican incumben Tom Reed in a closer race against Tracy Mitrano. Democrat Andrew Cuomo easily defeated Republican challenger Marc Molinaro on Tuesday to win a third term
And in unofficial local results, in the contested races, Olean voters in the ward 1 ALDERMAN race selcted Linda Witte (wit) with 53% of the vote. John Crawford was elected ALDERMAN in Ward 5 . In Salamanca, in the ward 1 race, Laurie Hunt wins.
Kathleen Martin wins a one year term as supervisor. In Freedom, Mary Zink was elected as Justice.
Franklinville voters selected John Tinelli as councilman.
