Gov. Andrew Cuomo will not tollerate discimination. He’s signed an executive order banning state agencies and authorities from doing business with companies that tolerate or promote discrimination.
Cuomo also said he’s supporting legislation that bans the use of a “gay panic” defense where a person charged with attacking someone attempts to blame the victim’s sexual orientation for a violent reaction.
Cuomo said it’s in response to Trump actions that rolled back civil rights protections for the LGBTQ community.
