Cattaraugus County wants to spend $7.5 million on new roads and bridges

Cattaraugus County wants to spend $22.9 million Cattaraugus County on it’s capital program including $7.5 million for roads, bridges and culverts.
There’s just under 21 million available. The public Works committe has a list of proposed projects.
The committee memebers will review the list and vote on which projects to include in two weeks.

A house for recovering adicts of both drugs and alchol has been shut down, effectively by the Olean Code Enforcement office. The house has been operating for several months as a recovery center for 10 men at 753 Bishop St. It had planned to N. 10th St., by the code office has put an end to that.
The Olean Code Enforcement office said the facility needs to obtain a use variance from the city before it can house the individuals.
