Salamanca Man’s Body Identified

Police have identified the body of a Salamanca man and are investigating his death as a homicide on the On-on-daga Indian Nation.
They’ve arrested a twenty year old Syracuse man in connection with the death.
The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office said the body is 34-year-old Carl Kettle.
Detectives found his body around 6 a.m. Saturday in a vacant lot in Nedrow, just south of Syracuse.
Police have charged Jacob Homer with second-degree manslaughter.
Police said the two men got into a fight but haven’t said how Kettle died.
The Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District board is considereing a five-year plan for $6.6 million in improvements. Improvement include moving the scoreboard and correcting erosion damage behind the baseball fence; replacing gymnasium lighting with LEDs; replace ventilators in the heating and air handling systems; among other projects.
The board plans to name a Facilities Planning Committee to examine the lists and to help determine the district’s short-term and long-term needs.
