Mental Health Workers Worry About COVID-19 Cutbacks

People working in Mental health in New York say cutbacks will definately hurt them, a lot.
Several nonprofits warned state lawmakers that a recent 20% cut in state aid to local governments will have devastating consequences for people with mental illness, addiction and developmental disabilities.
The state Budget Division says it will “withhold” aid until there’s a federal relief package.Local governments and school districts are now planning for deep spending cuts and layoffs.
nonprofits say they’re operating on razor-thin margins that leave little room for further aid cuts.
