Cattaraugus County Records 50th Positive COVID Test

Cattaraugus County has reported one more case of the coronavirus. It brings the overall total now to 50 cases since reporting on COVID 19 began.
A woman from the southwest area of the County was the 50th positive test. County health officials said she was in contact with someone who was infected. An initial test earlier this month was negative, but she later developed a fever, dry cough and sore throat and tested positive.
Overall, there have been two deaths, 34 recoveries, 58 people who are now under quarantine.
Cattaraugus County has a plan for testing nursing home employees.
County Administrator Jack Searles submitted a plan to the state for testing employees twice a week — at a cost expected to be more than $300,000 a month.
Jamestown Community College is planning a December graduation for it’s seniors. The COVID-19-delayed May ceremony came went while the lockdown was in place. and passed with empty campuses.
