Olean Rec Staff Prepares for End of Pandemic

Olean’s recreation staff is getting ready for the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
They say that when this clears up, people are going to want to be getting out like crazy — and they know they need to be ready.
Right now all the recreation facilities are closed to the public. So they’re getting caught up with building maintenance.
New backboards will be installed at War Vets Park, and building repairs in parks are needed to keep the facilities ready for the break in the pandemic.
Salamanca schools are keeping homework and meals coming during the closure.
Superintendent Robert Breidenstein says every student should have received a “wellness call” from a staff member, giving them an update on what to expect over the next few days.
Learning packets will be delivered via a school bus to every student’s home address beginning Tuesday. The Salamanca school district says 414 high school student packets will be sent next week.
