Olean Considering New Garbage Options

Olean City officials are looking at a couple of options to consider when it comes to taking out the trash.
The Aldermen are thinking about whether they want to stop using the current tag-a-bag method and switch to supplier-provided cans and a flat monthly fee.
They need some more inforation and would like feedback from the community on any proposal before it moves forward.

The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York is not in favor of the new Green Light Law.
James Kennedy Jr and joined federal prosecutors from three other New York regions in criticizing the portion of state’s “Green Light Law” that prevents the Department of Motor Vehicles from sharing information with immigration enforcement agencies.
The new law lets undocumented immigrants have state driver’s licenses.
