Trade War Hurting NY Dairy Farmers

The trade war with China is hurting some struggling Upstate NY dairy farmers.
A spokesman for the New York Farm Bureau sys with no end in sight to the trade war between the U.S. and China some already struggling farmers may see little reason to stay in business.
New York lost almost 20% of its dairy farms between 2012 and 2017, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

There are two Cattaraugus County-wide races up for grabs on Election Day.
County Clerk Alan Bernstein is uncontested in his bid for re-election to a second four-year term.
but there’s a three-way race for county coroner.
Incumbent Howard T. VanRensselaer of Randolph is seeking re-election to a four-year term on the Republican, Conservative and Independence Party lines. E. Paul Smith of Lyndon is running for coroner on the Democratic and Working Families Party lines.
Also on the ballot is Libertarian candidate Luke Wenke of Olean.
