Olean Approves Sidewalk Rebate Program

The Olean Common Council has approved a sidewalk rebate program for broken or cracked sidewalks.
The Council created the Sidewalk Rebate Program based on a program in Utica.
a property must be occupied by the owners. Rental-only properties are not allowed to apply.
A rebate of $6 per square foot is available for the mainline sidewalk for residential properties with a $1,000 cap per property. Other concrete projects like driveway aprons and approach sidewalks are ineligible.
The Allegany-Limestone School District will be presentedwith a budget for approval during Tonight’s meeting.
the proposed budget is $23.9 million, up 2.98 percent from the $23.2 million budget of the 2018-19 school year.
The proposed tax levy is a decrease of 0.25 percent from the 2018-19 school year . If approved by the board and taxpayers, the budget will represent the fifth straight year the district has lowered the tax levy.
