Erie County Woman Accused of Assaulting Deputy With Handcuffs

An Erie County woman is accused of assaulting a Cattaraugus County deputy after a dwi arrest.
24 year old Kiersten Kennedy was stopped in Allegany around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s office says Kennedy was more than twice the legal limit for alcohol.
Officers said she removed her handcuffs and wrapped them around her hand then hit a deputy with them.
She was taken to Cattaraugus County on $25,000 bail.
The new Field of Dreams assisted living and memory care facility in Allegany will be open for business in August.
The $16 million, facility on Seventh Street has been under construction for the past year.
It’ll have 64 beds in the memory care facility and units for 76 people in the assisted living section of the building.
The facility is expected to initially hire as many as 100 people.
