Olean School District Audit Shows Surplus

The latest Olean City School District audit is done and officials say they can spend more on educational programs.
The Board of Education approved the audit Tuesday night.
The audit found the district generated about $900,000 more than originally expected and spent about $900,000 less than expected.
the additional money was due in part to a $230,000 refund from Cattaraugus-Allegany Board of Cooperative Educational Services as well as some Medicaid assistance.

A Limestone man is facing 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to receipving child pornography.
62 year old Kevin James Fox pleaded guilty. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 20 years, and a fine of $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 12, 2019.
