Three Way Race in Hinsdale

Voters in Hinsdale are facing choices in this years primary election. There’s a three-way race for town supervisor on the ballot. Thomas Hooper isn’t seek re-election, so Republicans Michael Bushnell, and Monroe Bishop, and Democrat Mary Ann Powley are running for the position.
The county Board of Elections issued a list Friday of candidates who filed nominating petitions by Thursday’s deadline. The filings are subject to challenge. This year’s primary date is Sept. 12.

Cattaraugus County’s two top law enforcement officers will keep their jobs. They’re unopposed for re-election. District Attorney Lori Rieman and Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb were filed earlier this week at the Cattaraugus County Board of Elections. Rieman’s name will appear on the Republican, Conservative and Independence lines in the Nov. 7 election. The district attorney is seeking re-election to a third four-year term. Whitcomb was elected to a four-year term in 2013.
