Little Valley Woman Accused of Distracted Driving

A Little Valley woman is accused of nearly hitting a Cattaraugus County patrol car head on. But there are other charges being filed against 34 year old Ashley Mazurzyk. Deputies say she tried to elude the deputy because she was scared. She reportedly said she’d been on her cell phone. She’s been charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to keep right, and using an electronic device.
Deputies say she had a suspended license for many other violations. She’ll face the charges in the Town of Persia Court.
The area’s getting ready to welcome back a multi generational favorite. And do it in a multi national manner. The St. John’s Church Festival will return for its 35th year Saturday. This year’s festival will combine with the Transfiguration picnic. That means among other changes, there’ll be both traditional Italian and Polish food. The Itallain food comes from St. John’s parish. The Polish food from St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church.
